Tweet of the Day: The Ivy At The Window
The end of the year approaches! Wait, wait, I know that we are in the middle of summer, but it already feels like the bottom half of the year. Why? The seasonal sales are back. You know the ones that arrive earlier and earlier, usually tied to one day of the month and seem to consume entire calendar months?
We kick off the season with the Back to School sales, and yes, they started already, at least around here. School starts in balmy August. So while the kids are bicycling through their neighborhoods, playing tons of video games, or going to the beach, their parents are gearing up for the first of many monster sales to come. Around here it goes into overdrive the moment the government announces a day or weekend long sales tax holiday.
As soon as the kids are back in the classrooms it’s time to start shopping for their Halloween gear while avoiding (or secretly buying) all the naughty nurses outfits. That usually starts in September. Then it is a nearly three months long stretch of nothing but dancing Santas, tired jingles, and fake snow.
But in the meantime I have a few posts to show you. I draw your particular attention to Tuesday’s post. It is a snippet of my current work in progress and, oh gentle reader, I would like your input. Enjoy!
