Space of Rent: Paging Mr. Murphy

Tweet of the Day: My Memory Sucks
—–

Anything that can go wrong….

And I should know better.

But wait, didn’t I take a break from blogging to concetrate on my WiP?

Yeah, about that….

Started the week with an awful cold, which I still have.

Then my mom collapsed in her kitchen and dad took her to the hospital. They are doing exploratory surgery on her today to see if the can repair a congenial heart problem they failed to fix the last time. Oh and while playing on the Xbox I tipped over my desktop tower (which resided on the floor for some stupid reason) and it went kaput.

Did I mention that I hadn’t done a proper backup in months?

Again…yeah!

No files, no passwords, no bookmarks. Nothing. I’m working from a borrowed computer until I get mine fix, or least manage to retrieve the data from the hardrive if it is possible. Perhaps clone it to a new machine.

Who knows.

Still alive, and if there is a silver lining, it taught me you can’t wait till tomorrow because tomorrow will come and it will bring bad tidings. So do your work today.

That is all.

  2. Wow, you’ve had a run of bad luck that rivals my own! I’m sorry to hear about your Mom, hope she’s on the mend.

And I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that you can recover your files from your harddrive.

    Take care my friend!

    • The thing is, and it is going to sound extremely selfish, but these things have really derailed me from writing, which was the reason I took the break from bloging to begin with.

      Meh….

  4. That doesn’t sound selfish at all. Sounds human. Writers need to write.

Continued best wishes to you and your family!
