Behind the Headlines BlogFest

I got to strike while the iron is hot, so here it is.

The “Behind the Headlines” BlogFest.

Just like the last blogfest, the idea is to write a short story (no limit this time, but consider the limitations of blogs). The idea is simple, take a news story, any story (tabloid, blogs, twitter, mainstream media) and write a short revealing the “real” story behind the headlines.

Who are the players?

What are their stories?

How did they meet?

How did it really happen?

What happens next?

Heard of a similar story?

Is this the real story?

You don’t have to answer any of these questions. They are just a guide. The week-long BlogFest kicks off on Monday 5 April. That should give you plenty of time to pick out a story and write something about it.

Good luck.

P.S.:Please provide a link and/or address to the blog you will be posting your story in.

Mr. Linky here.

  2. Tell the truth, my daughter put you up to this as an evil ploy to get me to read some headlines and stop avoiding the news.

Actually, this sounds like a fun idea. Hopefully I won’t have to slog through too much depressing news to find a worthy headline. 🙂
